    G23 Cover

To anyone who has received their G23's,

I received mine with a temporary steering wheel and speaker grills. A few minor issues in the boat however a major one to mention was the cover. When I went to put the cover on the boat I could not get the cover to go around the tower tubes, as in the zippers would not reach as if the poles were too big. Did anyone else experience this?

I wanted to tow it with the tower down and the cover over everything however you have to remove the Z5 brackets which is too much of a pain. Would rather clean bugs off the speakers ... haha

I am not certain it went up that high. My dealer was helping put it on and they couldnt figure it out, said they will need to send me a new cover .... Where do you put your Z5 while towing?

I don't have a Z5, but my friend does on his 230, and we just leave it on while towing. If you do have the correct cover, it should have two zippers, one that is used for towing with the tower up and one for towing with it down.

I lay mine inside the boat then cover it (230) not sure if that would work on the g! I know on the g25 they laid it across the back put some towels and life jackets down then covered it! Has anyone seen the Bimini on the g yet? I think since there is so much room in the g for storage I may opt for the additional head room and go with just a Bimini !

Or if you have a pick up I have strapped mine down (all four corners) and towed that way each worked great !

I will post pics soon, got it going in for some stereo work tomorrow and then finally will have it in the water.

I only have pictures of all the defects right now ... haha

Thank You Ironj32 for the advise, I will try this cover again above the bars and see if i can get it to fit.

As for the Z5, when I towed it I placed it on the back sunpad and strapped it down with the pole straps under the tarp. Seemed to work well. I am definitely loving the look of the Z5 although I have a Blue lake surf board which does not fit on the Z5 or in the board racks which is a bit depressing ...

Okay so I tried the cover again, as you can see Ironj32 in the first pic I believe those two zippers should go together for this configuration. The hole between them is however too small. I think I have it in the right place tho.

I noticed you do not have the design package on yours ... maybe these bars are larger?

                    Any thoughts?

                    Thanks

From the looks of your pictures, you need to go up even higher...see the attached picture. Also, I gave a closer view of mine and pointed out where two little pieces of velcro need to meet up.

Ah .. Thank You very much Ironj32 I need to go over the first vertical white piece. I will give that a try.

I have not been riding the G23 yet, Drove my uncles 2011 226 today with the 409 and it seemed to have a lot of power and was fun to drive. Will be taking out the G23 tomorrow to start working on the 25 hours required to break it in so I can finally ride behind it ... Cant wait
