I have a 2001 Sport that has a trunk in the back. However, I've seen a few pictures of 2001's recentely that look like they don't have a trunk. Was this a mid year change, do I need to step away from the Bud Light, trick photography? More a curiousity question for now. Though I guess it will be pertinent when I eventually upgrade.

Nope, don't have the tanks but the difference is structural. It looks like a different mold for the back end. For an example you can check out the yellow 2001 Air for sale in the clasifieds on this site. My trunk and boat backend looks just like your's (a little smaller and not so bling as your new boat of course).

Thats actually a "Ski Nautique" with Air logo's. The older Ski Nautiques do have a trunk, the rear seat back pops up.
One boat is 19ft long and one is more like 21'6". One is a Sport Nautique/ Air Nautique, the other is a Ski Nautique. How about \"Chales\"?

lol, thanks for the compliment.
Talking about this boat? This is an Air 196. Technically it is an old SNOB w/ a tower--not even sure if it has tanks. You have the classic Sport Nautique, one model bigger at the time. The 206 replaced the SNOB, and the 216 (my boat) replaced your Sport Nautique, which is why ours look so similar. So in other words, in case you aren't confused enough yet, this is the old Air 206. :shock:I Nautique, therefore I am.
