Zero Off surging

Are there adjustments available in the Linc/Linc II for adjusting the sampling rate and precision of GPS based Zero Off? I could not find any in our 2013 Linc II menus. I sent a note to ZO but have not yet heard back.

ZO is holding speed well, but we are having constant, excessive engine surging, particularly when ballasted. I am sure this will not help our gas mileage!

notice more surging going through boat wakes than the 230 when using extra ballast myself,I assumed it was just because the boat was 1000 pounds heavier

Haven't heard of this issue on any boat except the earlier years of the new 210 hull (like '07, 08, etc.). Mr. McFarland, your G23 looks awesome! The metal flake silver looks killer, and it'll likely be one-of-a-kind, since they no longer offer that color!

when talking about surging its only noticeable for seconds, not like what Jeff mention in the earlier productions of the zero-off which I also experienced.

My surging is constant. Rhythmic and about 200 rpms in variation. Barely noticeable with no ballast at 20 mph, but pronounced with even half ballast at 22 mph.

I also noticed yesterday that the NCRS plate has some confusion at around 15 mph. With no ballast, just slowly cruising back in calm water, I noticed the bow kept going up and down, slowly about 3 to 4 degrees. The NCRS indicator did not change and was set to automatic. It was like slow motion porpoising. Speed up to 18mph and it resolved.

sounds like maybe some cliches in the soft ware that maybe needs to be reloaded ,just my opinion . Mine is dead on with full ballast at any speed, so that's why I feel its some type of soft ware or zero-off problem.

Probably right. I will be spending a few days with a G23 starting on Saturday. I'll see if I can reproduce these issues with that one too.

Thanks Bob and Jeff. I agree that is likely a simple software issue. Now I need to find out how to correct it. Jeff, let me know if you observe any surging on the G23 you are on Saturday. I will forward any info I receive from Zero Off.

Jeff ,don't sit in the back if running full ballast if the person driving has a grudge against you. LOL
