Best ballast sac for a 94 Sport Nautique Ski Locker

    Hi,

Does anyone know of a ballast sac that best fits the 94 Sport Nautique ski locker? The locker measures about 72in in length. About 10in high and I think I remember about 18inches wide? Not sure on the last measurement.

I am using a locker sac that fills the space well, but it is too short. There is more room (Like 20inches) to add weight.

    Thanks
    Kevin

If I were you, I would have a custom sac made. I had one made from www.boarders-paradise.com. It seems to be made really well and has worked great so far. You can also contact the people at www.barefootinternational.com. Their new custom fat sacs are awesome. They are really thick and very high quality.

I think I made a bad assumption. Thought going pre-made would be way cheaper. But after looking at boarders paradise custom sacs it is about the same. Thanks for the suggestion.

One question that popped in my head. If I get a ballast sac that fills the ski locker, do I run any risk of blocking the bilge flow? If the bow gets dipped, and the ballast sac is stuffed into the locker - how is water going to flow through to where the bilge pump is? Am I just over thinking things or could this be an issue?

Have you thought about putting some lead in there? If you don't want to trailer all that lead just put enough in there to add the amount of weight the new sac will give you and keep useing the old sac. Plus then you will not have an issue with blocking the drain. I used to trailer 1,000 pounds of lead on my old boat with no problem.

I already have a good chunk of lead in the boat (About 1000lbs). I am trying to reduce the amount of lead a little by adding a bigger bag.

            Thanks

I have a 10x16x72 sac that I am about to send back to a guy selling factory seconds. If you are interested, you can work out something with him and I can ship it to you. jbenbri@yahoo.com His name is Jacob, he has a post in the for sale forum.

Just out of curiousity, why are you sending the sac back?

Started out just wanting one to lay on floor in front of rear seat. Then decided that I would lay one on either side of the engine box. First one I got was wrong size, but I didn't realize it because I didn't measure it. So when I got another one, they were different sizes. So the guy sent me another one so I would end up with two the same size. So this one is odd man out. I have two that are 10x16x62, and am sending the other one back.
