Nautique 211 Fire Extinguisher

Where did your dealer mount the fire extinguisher ? Mine is mounted in the flip seat, I've had to replace the bracket like three times because peopel like jamming crap in that compartment.

Any ideas would be appreciated :-)

Mine isn't mounted. I keep it in the mesh cubby behind the driver's seat.

mine is just sitting under the spotters seat (unmounted). No real good place to mount it that won't be in the way

I put mine under the front starboard bow cushion, to the left side. fits nice, out of the way and if it is needed is in the best place to gain access (anything gonna catch fire usually is in the rear.)

Bow doesn't work for me consisting theres often a full Fatsac laying up there!
I been trying to think of a good spot in my 210 also. No where really comes to mind. With all the stories of boats blowing up lately and the 230 that just burnt up on my home lake I'm seriously thinking of looking into one of those auto extinguish systems. Anyone have any experience with them?

No such requirement here. When the sheriff does on the water checks here, they want to see your registration, fire extinguisher and throwable floatation device. I've never been given grief about a mounting. YMMV.

Mine is tucked in the cubby along the port seat. Easy to reach, but doesn't move around. I've been checked in NH and by a RI safety check and all they wanted to see is that I had one. Technically I have the built in engine suppression which does the trick, but I feel better having a hand-held because you never know what might happen.

I like Super B's idea to mount it below the throttle. Puts it right next to the driver, but still completely out of the way. Super B, can you post a pic of that?
