    Direct replacement ballast valves

ok, here is the $23 dollar solution for the leaking ballast valves. They are direct fit, will not leak, and your cable will fit the valve etc.

T.H. Marine makes these for the bass boat/ livewell boats etc. 3/4 inch hose connections etc. I tried to get correc craft r&d , Steve C. to look at them, hopefully he recieved my email etc. They will not leak, or fill etc.
Jeff, see if you can get T.H. marine to sell the site some at a discount, then you can offer the replacement through planetnautique!

ok who's got them on thier boat now, does the livewell application have the same in-flow pressure that these boats generate?

even at 23 bucks it's a steel if they are plug and play. someone post pics with them installed!!

RE: Re: RE: Direct replacement ballast valves

pull your flowrite valve out, look at the seal, its controlled by a cheap weak metal type spring. the th marine valve is a ball valve type, water will not flow thru unless its opened. They are direct replacements for the flowrite valve, the cheap red ones, the cable connects the same way as the flowrites. IE: this keeps your boat stock looking without changing your helm controls etc. as these valves work the same way.

                Mike
I will post better pictures when I am done updating my ballast project, these valves will control my front bow ballast bags / ski locker bag. etc. etc.

Mike-d , good enough for me, I'll be the guinea pig.

where did you get them, the site is OEM,Wholesale?

oh wait, just saw the three way, might be a cool way to add fat sacs and control them with the OEM pumps???

Any '01/'02 owners out there? I need some help here.....I have an '01 Air w/ factory balast. I have the large ball valve in the engine compartment to shut off flow to and from the tanks. I also have two balast knobs located just under the radio at the drivers right. I thought these only allowed air to exit/enter the tanks, and did not physically contol the water inlet, right?

The the two problems I have experienced is that the tanks are slow to fill and they do not drain completely (until the boat is out of the water). If I wanted to do a ski run after the kiddo is finished with his inverts, I would just have to deal with a larger wake, since the tanks retain some water.

                    What do you recommend I do? :?: :?: :?:

We have an '02 Air w/factory tanks. We have two large ball valves in the engine compartment, one on each side. Then we have two pumps to fill the tanks and two to empty.(4 total) The only other thing we have is the gauges under the throttle lever. The balast works great empties to within a few drops and fills great. My dealer told me that there were not helm control valves for an '02??! Can you take a picture of your knobs? I'd love to see them.

Jeff, I thought the '01 & '02 were similar, but now I don't think so. Here is the page from the manual describing the ballast system and a small pic. Click on it and it will enlarge, I think. I did leave out the part about switching the pump(s) on/off, but the valves in the pic just allow the tanks to burp!

                          oem wholesale

yes, Planetnautique should buy some wholesale from th marine, then sell them for 23.00

My project this spring will be to add the th marine diverter valve to my system, control the flow from one pump to two bags, bow locker sacks and ski locker bag. I have the correct craft helm knob to control it, just dont have the time to do it.....I am repowder coating my tower this spring also, doing the new plastic tower mounts etc. etc. etc.

IE: Dr John, the air knobs should be open to fill and empty, otherwise the water wont fill the hard tanks, or it will be very slcw to fill, the air pressure is too much in the hard tanks etc. etc. I liked your tower so much that I am getting mine powder coated all red also!
