Vinyl Stain

I just notice a stain running along the motor box edge on my red vinyl just below the stitching. Its only on the one side of the engine box.
I have always used Meguiars 57 vinyl and rubber cleaner and condioner. It would not take out the black stain and I also
tried some other cleaners. Im not sure if it may be in deep rather then on the surface of the vinyl. Does anyone have any advice?
Next to just letting it be!

Undiluted Totally Awesome may work, plus it's available for $1 at Dollar Tree. It's an amazing product, that cleans much deeper than most expensive cleaners. On your particular boat, you can use acetone, but I'd use caution when doing so. This nugget was from a CC team member during a tour my family took last Sept, while visiting the vinyl department, so it's 100% legit.

+1 for Totally Awesome. Just go easy with it (i.e. more scrubbing and less product) then recondition the seat. I like 303 Protectant for reconditioning.

The vinyl manufacture recommends 404 or fantastic. On other stains rubbing alcohol. They say depends what the stain is. It's in a strange place not like someone sat there or spilt something there. I will try there ideas but I feel it will need something stronger. I need to be careful.

I found a similar stain after some work was done around the engine area. Probably some leftover from the washcloth the mechanic was using to wipe his hands or something rubbing off his clothes. You should be able to clean it; it may be tougher depending on how long it's been there.

That's outdated information. Fantastik is no longer recommended for use on our vinyl. They changed the formula, and it is no longer safe.

Never heard of 404. Hope you don't mean 409. That stuff has never been recommended.

I tried all the suggestions. I have a spare seat and I tested the acetone on the bottom part. The acetone is to strong and takes the red out and dulls it. I tried with some water but it did not remove the stain.
Last chance is to take it to a friend that owns a detail shop. He may try steam but likely it wont work and I will just live with it. Strange since I have no idea how it happened.
