I agree Marc, it's all relative. Being a baller, you'd notice the difference with the tower, but it wouldn't throw your skiing off. The difference would probably be like going from a 200 to a 200V - still great, just not quite as great. I too could see myself in a 200V someday. I love that boat, and it would take my skiing as far as it'll ever get. I think a modern ski is becoming more important than the boat. Nano One!!

It is ski paradise, I grant you that! I spent almost 15 years looking for the right setup, saving money, and convincing my wife. I now have a sweet house, on a sweet lake and am totally happy with the situation. The only downside is I don't have a lot of ski buddies. My wife is a good driver (with PP Stargazer of course) but I really could use somebody who is as dedicated as I am. I like hanging out with family and friends so I have had to change a bit. On a good weekend, I will ski about 4-6 times on the course and get in about 8 surf sessions with the boat fully loaded. What I like best is being able to walk down after work (mid-week) and bust out a slalom set. Makes me feel like I didn't even work at all! -Marc

the complete tower weight less than a person. even with the racks. plus the added weight is more towards the nose. is use it mostly to teach kids to get up on one ski. short line and pulling from high works so good.2016 G23

It's not just the weight, but the physical down forces it applies to the hull. A tower on a 196 affects the wake considerably more than one passenger. With that said, it would still be sweet to ski behind.'08 196LE (previous)
