Super Air 210 Engine/Trunk Lid ideas- No Upholstery?

Anyone ever take the upholstery and foam off the lids and do something cool? Maybe just the engine cover to make center walk-thru? Like the 210's, hate walking on the upholstery... Just looking for cool ideas. Thanks!

It also looks like he move the starboard seat to the port side and removed that one for some reason. With the tread on the flip down portion of the rear seat, why wouldn't he just do the engine cover? Couldn't you just make a cover to replace that and cover it with the gray pad that's on the platform and seat/step. That way you can always put the other hatch back on, and it's a reasonably matched look with nothing to tear. This is assuming of course that the pad material can be purchased reasonably.

I've been playing with the idea for a project like this over the winter for my 210. Replace the vinyl and padding over the engine with SeaDek or some other form of non-slip. Anything to keep people off of the vinyl (and to keep from busting a$$ on the deck when it's wet). Maybe the center cushion of the rear seat as well.
