    tower question

my boat is a '99 SN with open bow I am looking to upgrade the boat this yer with a tower I just can't decide what to put on it..

when I conttacted my local dealership they told me I might have problems with the cup holders in the front of the boat when installing a FCT tower; is that true? If yes what are my other choices (tower wise)?

Also I found this pic of a boat just like mine on the net but showing it with a aftermarket tower, I just can't figure out what make it is and if it's a good one or not.... Does someone have a idea???

Here's the pic with the tower :

    RE: tower question

If you are going to go with any after market tower I strongly suggest using a Monster Tower. The are very easy to install, and all the other items you may want, such as bimini, board racks, and speakers are readily available.

All that being said, I would try to use the FCT to keep the proper Nautique looks of the boat.

Son't know what type of tower that is. At first, I thought it
was a skylon swoop, but it's not.

I have several friends who have used BOSS towers. Not the
cheapest, but they look good, are sturdy, and seem to stand up.

Have also seen a lot of monster towers lately. Only cost about
$1000, sturdy, fold down very easily. Monstertower.com.

Thanks Pratt and bkhallpass, I been looking at the monster tower the only thing that bugs me a little is the look of it it seems a bit "empty" I mean of course I could put speakers and boards racks but the tower itself looks a bit too much like the new Malibu towers, I guess it's just a personnal taste issue... and if I go with the FCT, I still don't know if it will fit because of the cup holders upfront... anyone has some info on this matter?

The original style Titan tower is an excellent tower. I think it is superior even to the FCT. It is rock solid, folds down very flat and is affordable.

The Monster towers have a good following as well. Don't think you could go wrong with either.

Mmm, I've seen SkiNautique with a FCT installed. So I won't think that should be a problem, try contacting another CC-dealer.

              icewake,
I have an 01 that has the FCT on it . The cup holders do not interfere with the mount. I don't know if the 99 and the 01 are similar in design but I'll get you a pic this afternoon and post it.

My dealer told me the same thing. NewDimension towers makes a fct duplicate tower for nautiques that the original fct wont fit correctly without bending or tweaking.

thanks to everyone for sharing your thoughts on this and also your experience.

franz as I posted on another thread, I look forward to seeing the pics showing how it fits.

Also darrel409 mentioned that the original fct might need some serious adjusments. when you bought your boat was the tower on it, and do you know if that was the case?

**** I just checked and the lake still is part frozen... grrr... I am starting to get cramps in my legs... hahaha (sorry I had to let go some steam out...)
