For ease of draining my Excalibur motor, I'm planning on putting a brass T on the starboard side of my engine block where the knock sensor goes. Then I'll reinstall the knock sensor and install a ball valve. I've heard of others doing this on their PCM motors. Has anyone here tried this?

RE: Knock Sensor
I read somewhere not to do this because the sensor needs to be in direct contact with the block. I put mine in by hand and take it out by hand during the winter when I run it.Current

RE: Knock Sensor
Let us know what they say, a few years ago my friends Indmar had the knock sensor on a tee with a drain. I ran mine for about ten minutes one day without the knock sensor wire attached and didn't notice.Current
