My tower has faded. Opinions?

My FCT is powdercoated red and gray to match my boat. The boat sits outside so the powdercoating on the tower has faded considerably.

Has anyone tried using a polish or rubbing compound on powdercoated surfaces? I am hoping to restore the finish and will be more diligent with my 303 application. Plus I have a new portable shelter to store the boat under to help as well.

If it doesn't work then I may wind up having the tower stripped and polishing the aluminum.

If it was powder coated red, I wouldn't be surprised. Red for some reason will fade in almost any form, gel coat, paint, plastics etc. Something to do with the dye. Yellows are the same way.
