Anyone have an opinion on the 2009 216v? I am getting ready to close the deal on my first nautique. Everything looks great however I notice that there are not that many out there for sale. Is it because it may be an undesireable boat for some reason or maybe there were not that many produced? We are a family with parents that years ago used to be competitive skiers and kids that love to wakeboard. Do you think this boat is a good compromise? Any info is greatly appreciated.

this boat is a high optioned (priced) replacement for the 211. They lost a little of the ski wake, though. Great boat, but I would ski behind it before you pull the trigger if part of your focus is skiing. If you accept the ski wake, then you'll have a great boat.
As for why there aren't many out there, I think the original cost had a lot to do with it. Don't think you'll have a problem with resale (as long as Nov goes right, otherwise we're ALL in trouble)Last edited by SkiTower; 09-19-2012, 05:35 AM.

Agree with the above post. I have owned one for the last four seasons. I am mainly a skier, with some competitions in my ancient past. We ski, wakeboard and surf behind ours. The ski wake is where this boat is lacking. If you are expecting to run effectively through the course on this boat -- you will probably be disappointed. However, if you are mainly looking for a boat that can do a little bit of everything, I would highly recommend it.

We've owned one the past three years and could not be happier with it. We are also a family that is not experts and any water sport but like to do all three. There are very few boats you can talk about not being disappointed by when on a course, or that you should even think about pulling through a course. If you want a ski boat, you should buy one. If you don't have ski boat expectations out of a three sport boat then you will be very happy with the 216V. I have had plenty of advanced wakeboarders behind our 216V and none have had anything bad to say about the wakeboard wake. It won't be a 210 wake, but again, unless you are an advanced rider it will be more than enough. We have been surfing alot lately and have actually gotten a real nice surf wake with not a ton of weight. Again, it's not a pro surf wake but very rideable and fun.
There are not a ton out there because it was only made for one year, and yes, they were a bit pricey and did not excell in all sports like the 200V does.
