What's the lenght of your 230 with trailer?

From the end of the swim platform to the end of the trailer tongue?
What about if the trailer tongue is a fold-away? 2 feet less when folded?

Also do most 230's with different towers and different trailers fit in a 9'x9' garage door?

I'll be building a new house soon and want to have a garage dedicated for my boat. I have a '05 210 for now but would maybe upgrade in a year or two to a '09-'10 230. I would like to keep that in mind to build the garage deep enough even though I'm not sure I will change my boat.

    Thanks guys!

Legally (in most states) trailers can't be wider than 102". I think the 230 and G23 trailers push that limit.

Length will depend on the manufacturer.

If a few people can let me know I'll just go with the longest trailer brand.

i own a 2008 sante 230 with a 2009 ramlin trailer. the width is 100-101 inches from the widest point (basically the outside edge of the tire to the other outside edge). the length is 346 inches from the end of the platform to the front of the coupler. my foldaway is seized, so i can't tell you what it is folded, but just eyeing it, i believe it would be greater than 24 inches. i don't fold my tower, so i cannot tell you what that saves.

            Thanks buddy!
So yours is almost 29', thanks for the info.
I guess I'll just do the garage 32' deep so I'll be safe with any trailer. The door will probably be 9'x9' or 10'x9' so I shouldn't have any problem with any trailer or tower combination.

I'll put a tape on mine this weekend. I have a Boatmate which rides on 18" wheels, and our 230 has the original aluminum tower. Do you want a measurement of the height of the tower while it's on the trailer?

Yes why not, I would like to make the ceiling high enough for me to put the tower back up once it's in the garage. Thanks man!

10x10x32 is what you need. no worries about taking the tower down everytime. just back it in and pull it out whenever.

^^^ if you're afraid of a 10X10 door looking too big and stupid, you can always put a carriage house door on it which adds interest and will be an asset, not an eyesore. That's what I did.

You would need 10 wide minimum. My 236 on and ez loader illusion tower was 104 wide at the boat guides. Length I can not help you on. Mine was about 10ft 6 inches high with tower up. My door was 10 wide by 12 tall.

I'm actually trying to go with a 10'x8' door, maye 10'x9'. My 210 fits in an 8' tall door with the tower folded down and by what I usually read most boats fit under an 8' door.

markj, I appreciate the idea but I'm going more for a modern look.

I have a 2007 236 with the original tower. I have tried to figure out which tower is called what. I am not smart enough to follow along...(i.e. FCT 1 Titan, FCT2,3) My point is, if you have the original tower you will want nothing to do with folding that tower down. It is a two man job at a minimum. I believe they still made the original tower in 2009. You may want to stay away from that tower if you want to fold it. If you can make the front of your garage maintain the look your after, go large enough to house the boat without folding. Good luck with the garage...I am a firm believer that you can never have too much garage. Whatever you error on, go bigger...

we have 8 foot high door and our garage is 26 feet deep.....getting our 230 in is a sweat. He have to fold the tower, take off the platform and swivel the trailer tongue.....and i am a truck driver........good luck!

Haha! I like that last part! I trust ya man, that's why I wanted to hear stories like that.

It looks like it will be a 10x9 door and 32' deep. From what you guys are saying I shouldn't have any problems. There are big chances that if i upgrade my boat it will be a newer 210 as well but just wanted to have the possibility to store a 230.
