Thinking about putting my own lights underneath the swim platform. To do this i would have to drill 2 holes about 2 inches in diameter. Is this a good idea or is there too much risk of cracking my hull?

Same question as delmage171, those who have the OEM Nautique lights, when you have two are they bright enough to light up the surf wake?
I'm pretty sure I've heard about the shadowcaster ones before and they seem great! How much are they?2008 SANTE 230

I've had the shadow casters for two years now, mounted on a custom bar that attaches to the swim platform brackets on a 230. They are very bright and it is very easy to surf at night. I angles them so they light up the wake nicely.

I can try to get a pic of it. It's basically one through-hull marine connector, and then I found the correct pin in the PME box and wired to it for the U/W lights. Thanks!
I just didn't want to drill to holes in my boat...
I sort of followed a post from awhile back on Wakeworld by Grant. And just tweaked it the way I wanted it a bit.

So you had to do one hole in the hull instead of two?
How about ''driving'' lights for riding around after sunset? Would these be overkill? https://www.rigidindustries.com/Mari...ting-s/132.htm
