    Winter projects

    My winter projects...

Underwater LED's- pretty sure I'm using the OEM ones

New tower speakers(krypt compression horns)-- I'm gonna do for cans and I'm gonna Mickey Mouse them. What's the biggest downfall of this? Other than appearance.

LED's around all 4 speakers- prob gonna use the shower switch to control them

LED's for all drink holders- linked to courtesy lights for power

    All blue courtesy lights

Plumbing in additional bag in bow- arrow

Plumbing in addition bags in port and starboard rear- prob wedges

    Installing Titan spinner board rack

    Adding domed registration letters

Also trying to figure out how to customize a z5 for my boat, they make one for a supreme that might fit.

My boat is 2005 226 SANTE

    Anyone have advice or warning???

The biggest downfall is supporting krypt bc they stole their speaker design and have knock off wet sounds products. Those are the rumors anyways. IMO, id use red for the courtesy lights. Strictly from a night vision stand point.

I like your projects, that's pretty much what I would like to do as well, underwater LED's (shadowcasters look great!), LED rings in my PRO485's, LED ligthting in the boat, spotlights for night riding and plumbing in extra ballast would be sweet! Now you're making me want spinner racks! lol

Update this thread with pics, especially if you customize a Z5 rack!

      Good luck

I second the shadow caster's in blue. I had a custom aluminum bar welded up that bolts to the platform brackets - been using for two years now and works great.
You can order the little blue button LED's from Nautique parts for pretty cheap, and they are easy to install. Looks nice at night. I personally think too much LED inside the boat is overkill. Just my .02 Maybe try the button LED's and see how you like it first, then go for more if you'd like.
Also, there is a guy on Ebay that is making underwater LED's (he's apparently a retired electrical engineer) and they are priced real good. I bought 8 for my boathouse, for less than the cost of two shadowcasters. The Shadowcasters are definitely the sh** though. (The two shadowcasters are equal to 4 of the ones I bought for my dock due to the actual number of LED's in them)...

Just a quick note. Your boat is not a SANTE. The 226 is not a Super Air Nautique. It is technically a Sport Nautique.
I own and operate Silver Cove Marine, which is an inboard boat restoration, service, and sales facility located in Mooresville, North Carolina. We specializes in Nautiques and Correct Crafts, and also provide general service for Nautiques fifteen years old and older.

In the 2005 brochure, on page 34, it actually does refer to the the "Air Nautique 226" with available "Team Package" mentioned on another 226 page. But their marketing has always been pretty fast and loose with the nomenclature. E.g. The tsc hull sticker on the side of 99 sport nautique.

But for abbreviation in the forums the SAN and SANTE generally refers to the 210 and sometimes 230 it seems.

Thanks for clearing it up for me. All I really know is I enjoy reading all posts on this forum. And I also know the boat I bought is my dream boat. I love every single thing about. To avoid confusion moving forward in the forum ill refer to it as a 226 TE. Then we're all happy. You guys can think sport and ill think air. Seriously though, I appreciate all feedback.

It says "Air Nautique" on the boat and if it is a "Team Edition", I would think that it would make it at least an ANTE 226 .

Now if it is also referred to as a "Sport" Air Nautique Team Edition... there you go SANTE 226!

Let's not take this too seriously, but the names are confusing to a newbie. I just bought a 2006 226TE and love this boat. It is in immaculate condition with only 130 hrs.

My main focus this winter will be continuing experimentation on the vertical tab for surfing.

I will be re-skinning the whole rear deck with no graphics or piping. I'm deciding whether or not to make the port or starboard locker a complete walk thru. Also replacing my risers&gaskets. Finally, I'm having her buffed out and polished.

I love the walk thru on the 226. It is especially good for kids and older people like my 73 year old mother who still water skis.

                          Good luck.

                            Hey guys!

The projects I have planned for my 1996 Nautique Super Sport are:

                            -Perfect Pass Stargazer Wake Ed.

                            -Acme 1464 Prop

-upgrading my bags in my 4 bag jabsco system to Flyhigh 750s in the rear & 580lb ski locker with the 1000lb triangle bag. Should be around 2500-2800lbs depending on how much the bags will fill up! Should be nice a nice and meaty wake though!

-Adding a pair of Wetsounds Rev 10s & SYN4 to go with my already mild Wetsounds inboat system.

-LED translucent Blue Rings on the Rev 10s

-LED Blue ring on my XS-10 sub

-Attwood OEM Underwater Blue LEDs (x2)

                            -Faria Depthfinder

                            - and last but not least adding the year 00-02 large silver AIR decals to the Hull

After this winter I will have my boat almost exactly where I want it. I may replace my rear wrap around seat cover from Nautiqueskins as when I bought the boat it has a small tear it which bugs me
