    Zr409

So do I understand correctly that this motor is basically a GM LS2, similar to what came in the Corvettes and GTO's? If so, my question is regarding the engine block and heads. I understand the 409 heads are aluminum, correct? Is the block Aluminum? It is in the GTO's and Vetts, but not in the trucks, the truck block (LQ9) is iron.

Anyone know the weight of the motor without the trans? What is the weight difference between the 409 and the EX 343?

Not exactly, the information on the source motor before it hits PCM is here: http://www.gmpowertrain.com/Librarie...rine.sflb.ashx

PCM's calibration on this motor squeezes a few more ponies out of this configuration than the specs on the GM website.
