flight clips

so when i look up flight clips online, they are all straight. the ones on my boat are angled. why? is one more liked than the other?

I'm asking this, because mine (angled) are soon to be for sale. What are they worth??

Those are definitely not right! Are both sides like that? Looks like the previous owner may have come in too hot to the dock or something.

I picked up some like new clips a few years ago for $300(I think). That was a really good deal at the time. In that condition yours may be worth $250 for both sides. Just a guess though- they are worth what someone will pay!
