If you are interested in putting on an event, it is really not that hard. This next video features Will Christien and Jimmy Trask. I appologize for the audio in the beginning. The mike was messed up, but it got better.

Anyone who has a boat should seriously think about doing something like this. Greg has taken it to another level, but last night I was able to go eat with Greg and some children from our local children's home. Anything you can do to help these kids have a more "normal" life makes a difference. They are funny, interesting to talk to, and just have been put into a less desirable situation (sometimes not in their control). I often time have to step back and tell myself to be thankful for all I have and the things I take for granted like being on the water.

I am thankful Greg invited to be a part of this from the beginning and this is something I look forward to doing each year. I encourage and challenge everyone out there to try and make a difference. Being involved in this is something you can be proud of and help grow! We started the first year with only 5 or 6 boats and now the event I help with has grown to over 20 boats and over 100 kids. I can only imagine what it would be like to have my fist day on the lake be on really nice boat with encouraging people helping me accomplish something new like wake boarding, skiing, tubing, or even just be able to spend time in the water and on the boat.

I am constantly amazed by the generousity of others towards WTW endeavors. Even something as simple as us treating the kids to pizza night at Pizza Hut. When I went to pay the $63 bill, the manager gave us one large pizza free then took 50% off the remaining bill. They charged us $18 ! She said she appreciated the work that WTW does and that we will always get that discount. How awesome...

One unique thing about WTW is once you volunteer you are hooked for life! Here is a video of a girl talking about her first Wake the World experience.

I have participated in this event for 3 yrs. It is amazing to watch the reaction of the kids. It is a good time to give back.

WOW ! A possible 27 events for 2013 and more being discussed! We had around 160 boats involved with Wake the World in 2012. We may get close to 300 boats in 2013! You guys are awesome! Here is another video..
