Transferable Warranty

Can someone help me understand how the warranty transfer takes place and what does it cover? I was told by a dealership that the warranty is transferable but it was parts only and not labor on everything. Does that makes sense? Please help...

Check the manuals section on this site... The warranty transfer forms are in the back of the manual. There are two warranties - one for parts (not labor) and one for hull, stringers, etc. Each costs $300 to transfer.

Yep, second owner gets parts ONLY, and that's only if you pay to transfer the warranty.

I think it is 300 bucks to transfer and as has been said parts only, and depending on what year the motor/trans is only warranted for 3 years "boat stuff for 5" With the motor being out of warranty on the 2009 I bought I opted to not pay the 300 bucks.

I choose to get both lifetime hull stringer and the parts only warranty on my 2008 even though it had only 6 mos on it. It allowed me to thoroughly check out everything and not worry about something major keypad, or gateway box or something going out.

Under warranty I got quite a bit of misc items so it worked out pretty well.

Don't forget the motor has a separate warranty transfer fee. I believe it is 250. What is the deal with all of the transfers? Why wouldn't it be like a vehicle warranty?

I agree with thought that it should be less transfers. But then again if it was like a car you would not have to pay to transfer, would you? Appearantly Nautique is comfortable with the customer experience in this area.
