Bunk spacing on Shorestation for SV211

Any one have any experience placing the bunks on a 4000 lb Shorestation? I'd like to have them in the right place on the lift before I put my new SV211TE on it. Any measurements on hieght and distance from center would be really helpful. Thanks.

    billybmke,

I'm not familiar with the type of lift you are using.

I have setup both the hydrohoist and poly lift brands.

I always take my measurements from the boat trailer.

The bunks on my hydro hoise are something like 36 or 39" center to center. This is off the top of my head. I matched the width of my trailer bunks as recommended by my dealer. The height is not really adjustable on my lift. The bunks fit as high as possible on the V part of the hull.

we have ours all the way up. the rear spacing i made so the boat can go side to side without hitting either. it ended up being right under the stringers in the rear and we just made it a few inches narrower in the front.
        I don\'t care.

I have the same questions (also posted this on another thread with similar topic).. I am going to be putting my new SV211TE on a 4000lb ShoreStation with 10x26 canopy... any pics or measurements on how to place this on the lift without messing up the pieces underneath (My last boat was an I/O so this is new to me!)

            bunk spacing

Mikeski, I am looking for a boat lift that would work well for my SV211 and still be a "low profile" lift since it would be at a yacht club facility on the Chesapeake Bay and I cannot do permanent installs and I have to watch how high up the lift site. I noti=ced you referenced the Hydohoist lift. That is one of the systems I am looking at. How has the lift been and how have you supported it? Jim

              RE: bunk spacing

There are a few other options that may better qualify for temporary installations. Mine is a U-dock mount so it is very permanent. The side mount options is not so well attached to the dock so you may want to give it some consideration. You may also want to check into polydock or other floating systems that are semi drive on.

Jeffsv211, just curious, with a team edition you mentioned a canopy. With a tower, do you plan to fold the tower down? or extend the canopy? It has been suggested that a canopy is somewhat ineffective with the canopy extensions. Any comments?

Kosmo. I have canopy extensions and don't find them to reduce the
effectiveness of the canopy. Depending upon the direction of the Sun
and the wind, we can also add side screens to further protect the boat.

                    Kosmo211,
Unfortunately, my lift was just delivered to the lake this week.. I am going to take the boat up tomorrow to try to fit it to the... I was hoping someone here had already done this and happen to have some pics to go with it.. I will give it a try, but I am guessing the only option is to lower the tower each time and this will probably get old.. I'm still hoping for some good suggestions from this website????

Resurrecting an old thread. Our lift (Floe VSD-5000) was mangled in a storm last year. Just got a new-to-me lift (2015 VSD-5000 w/ 10x26 canopy) that I need to set up for our 2008 SV211TE. Any recommendations on bunks (or canopy height) would be appreciated.

Our old lift setup worked well and I'm really wishing I'd taken measurements before the pieces were hauled away.

                      Thanks,

39" outside to outside. I own and operate a lift business here on Lake Gaston and I do this every day...
