Did the holes in the scoop prevent it from self filling? Was that the purpose of those holes?

Mikeski--I drilled the holes in the scoop because I thought it would help to ensure that the ballast puppy pump would be able to work more efficiently. Not sure it was necessary, but it was easy and the system works well.

99SAN--the engine dividers were original, but I lined them with aluminum channel to strengthen them. Since those photos were taken, as part of my flooring project and in an effort to remove as much carpet from the boat as possible, I have stripped the carpet from them, coated them with bed liner, and made some better aluminum channel pieces to strengthen them. See attached photo.

Carpet is still on the walls for sound-dampening purposes. But gone everywhere else.

Hey, how are you dividers mounted to the rear of the boat. ... I don't have anything in the rear to support mine. ... what are your dividers made of because the look thicker than mine. ...did you paint the floor in the back?

I pulled the hydraulic ram out and replaced it with gas shocks and a latch. This gives me a lot more room in the starboard locker and it is a lot easier and faster to access the storage lockers. To do it, I added aluminum supports that are bolted to the floor and the stern near the engine hatch lid hinges. my engine dividers bolt to those supports in the back and to the existing supports in the front.

My engine dividers are the stock 1/2" starboard material, but I added strips of starboard to the tops and bottoms of each piece so that I could fit the 1" aluminum channel caps snugly. They are now solid and the weight of the ballast bags do not move them.

The floor has the same urethane coating on it as the rest of the floor. It is SO much better than carpet because water under the ballast bags does not get trapped.
