    wake surfing and wakeboarding

    I have a air nautique 220 t/e and was wondering with only two people in the boat (the driver and passenger) whats a good speed to wake surf and wake board. i fill up all ballast t wake board and just the belly and side im on to surf.

    with that much ballast I would go no slower than 21 to wakeboard but once you start getting past 23 those falls really hurt! ....and I dont wakesurf but my buddie goes about 12......Also I wake board at 22 with just the Port and Starboard ballast filled

      with only port and starboard sides filled up wakeboarding does that make a better wake than with all ballast filled.

        well it gives a more vertical wake......the only problem with having the weight only in the back is that its harder to dial it in....the weighting has to be perfectly even. But it burns less gas and the wake goes more straight up and down because whenever you add weight to the front of the boat it lengthens the wake which could put you in the low spot of the wake. The vertical part of the wake is harder to use but if you figure it out you can be more agressive without going to far into the flats.

        And if you didnt know the vertical part of the wake is the spot when the wake is just about to curl but isnt foamy.
