Lots of great information there, and the skis should be incredible!

Yeah, you know I have always been a slalom fan, but have not strapped on a ski for a few years now. I am a big Mapple fan though, and really enjoy watching the athletes battle it out on the water. I keep saying I am going to get back into it myself. One of these years I am going to surprise everyone and get a PlanetNautique 200 instead of a wakeboard boat!

I really liked the Sixam that Andy designed. I found the Elite to be a bit too aggressive for the versatility of my skiing. In the course behind a 196 or 200 it was fine (if I was in the right position). What I did not like about the Elite was it's ability to generate angle across the wake. Skiers in good shape in the correct position will appreciate this angle. For me when I would take open water sets behind my 211 with 4-5 people and gear in the boat the wake was quite big. When I would get tired the ski would still generate aggressive angle and ended up pitching me on my head on a couple occasions.
I prefer a ski that allows me to take longer radius turns and less angle across the wake when I start to get tired. Of the 5 skis currently in my posession (Goode, Elite, Sixam, D3 X7, HO A1) the D3 X7 is the laziest. Unfortunately it also requires the most effort in the slalom course. The Elite and the A1 are similar with respect to being aggressive making it more difficult to ski with less angle across the wake.
Looking at the video I suspect the rocker pattern and side profile will make the Mapple 6.0 very aggressive, likely more aggressive than I can handle when skiing tired behind my big wake boat.
I took the Sixam back out towards the end of the year and did some fine tuning with the fin. I need to ride it more this spring but I may bring it back to my primary ski status. Unfortunately I don't really ski enough to do any of these skis justice. Still struggling to remain consistent running 28 off. Every year I think will be the year when I return to running consistent 28's and occasional 32's. Losing 10 lbs getting back down to 185lbs would also help.
