New Mexico,
Have you thought about a Sport Nautique 200? The G is an awesome boat from everything I have read.... but it's not the only thing in the lineup. It sounds like you spend a fair amount of time on the water and enjoy multiple sports. The Sport could be the answer to your needs, but a lot has to do with your requirements. If you are going to be on the water with more than 8 people on a regular basis, the Sport probably doesn't make sense. The G's can fit a ton of folks but it's not a well rounded boat. It will give you a world class wakeboard and surf wave at the cost of a poor slalom wake. Your kids and guests don't need a world class wake to enjoy themselves thoroughly.
Just something to consider. Look at your useage and space requirements to help shape your decision. Don't get caught in all the hype of the G being the best boat (and it is for wakeboarding and surfing!) - Marc

The G23 is a great boat and I haven't even driven one yet. I'm mad I didn't wait to get one. Next year. I like the Sport 200, a bit small for me, but great boat.
A couple other simple searches we tell you about the SV211 and 2007 and new 210. I'll save you the trouble on the 211, don't get one. I've owned one.
Sell all your boats. Buy with CASH (your comment not mine) a G23 with a 450HP. 550HP if you want. Go find a 1997-2001 Ski Nautique 196 for 14K and 400 hours to ski with. Now if your body of water doesn't allow great skiing, turn your ski(s) into a shot-ski (yes making one now), buy a nice bottle of tequila, couple wakeboards and couple surf boards (guessing you haven't tried this sport yet) and have fun and the G23. Leave the tequila at the house for when you return.
OH they make a G25 that might fit the picture better coming from a 28' I/O with 800HP.

A couple of comments to the OP.
1. This board is awesome for lots of reasons not the least if which is a wealth of information. However, many on here are "purist" and purchase boats for their passion as if they were competing for a world record or X games gold medal.
2. Because of the purest mindset many have on this board throwing even a recreational skier behind the Nautique flagship wakeboard boat is blasphemy. Not that I disagree with what they all said, the G23 is probably the worst ski boat ever made (by design).
3. So if the skiers in your family are just going to slide straight behind the boat (like many "skiers" do) sure it will work, but "skiing" with any intent to get better even as a recreational skier skiing from side to side across the wake again it is the worst ski boat made.
4. As others have mentioned, unless you need/want the enormous size of the G23 there are many better "cross over boats" (boats that ski/board/surf) then the G23. As previously stated unless the wakeboarders in your family are getting ready for the X games, or sponsored by Hyperlite there are many boats that will throw a wake big enough for them to hurt themselves and will ski well enough to let skiers advance in their craft as well. Purest on both the wakeboarding and skiing sides will disagree (skiers are even worse then the wakeboarders many of them feel if you are not skiing behind a 196 or new 200 you might as well be skiing behind a G23), but there are many to choose from.
If I were you, unless you must have the Nautique "flagship" boat I would seriously look at the 200v as has been mentioned. From all that I have read and seen it appears to be the best cross over boat made. I can pretty much guarantee it will throw a wake big enough to do some fancy tricks on a wakeboard, and skis exceptional, it will even surf.
