    2003 210 swim deck size

I just bought a 2002 SS 210. It has a stock teak swim deck that is too small IMO. In reading other posts, I've quickly been educated by the teak gods. So not to ruin the value, and having access to a sheet metal shop, I have had an aluminum "sleeve" deck fabricated that measurements match my friends 2012 SAN 210. It is 26.5" deep vs my stock 17" deep deck. I plan on coating it white, then laying Seadek on it.

My worry now..before I complete the finish work...is this deeper deck going to put too much torque/load at the bracket mounts on the transom? I am visually comparing my new deck size to a 2003 composite that is deeper, while it appears a 2003 uses the same deck support brackets. This said....can anyone tell me the depth of their 2003 210 swim deck?

Seriously considering it. It is waterjet from 3/16" aluminum, I plan on rhino lining it white to get a hard (more chip risitant) finish for the edges, then I'll waterjet the top Seadek sheet with some design before applying.
I'll get some pictures posted as soon as I figure out the size of a 2003 swim deck or 2004 to see if I need to modify before finish work begins.

I found a composite swim deck for sale in California that noted it was 23.5" deep. So I ended up cutting my 26.5" deck down to 23.5". I had noticed considerable flex from my 17" teak deck alone on the transom mount brackets. So for a safety, I made a center bracket that goes down to the drain plug to help support the new platform. I dropped the deck & support off at my local Rhino shop last Friday, it is supposed to be done today!!! I had it Rhino lined white. I ordered cool gray Seadek (here tomorrow) for a not skid padded serface for my 6 & 8 year olds. I did the Rhino liner for a harder more resilient surface than paint. I have designed a multi piece pattern for the Seadek, and am having my buddy cut it on his 3D waterjet so I can have a nice beveled edge on the seadek edges. Below are pics before Rhino....

Not yet. There was a "mistake" made on my rhino lining. I went to pick it up and it was like a nightmare. No possibly way to explain how horrible it looked.....but, every edge had icicles of heavy rhino runoff. Then the white top coat paint wouldn't cover the black base, so they had about 10 coats on it....some areas were glossy/smooth with the white, other areas had black tips showing through. I was going to trash it and make a new one for powder coat. The owner assures me he can sand down this application, shoot it with a new light gray rhino, then top coat white. I foresee me walking out empty handed again and still making a new one. Bummer.

This past weekend I picked up the deck "sleeve" from Rhino lining and my "cool gray" Seadek foam from the waterjet company. See pics below. Turned out pretty good. I'll get installed pictures on the boat after I get the boat out of storage. (backgrounds aren't appealing )

                        After fabrication.....

Looking at the last pic, are you planning on closing off that opening?? Looks like at could create some heavy pressure on the brackets when/if water is being forced into that closed space??
