Can't find 93 on our lake either. In a pinch you can go < in most cases but the electronics will dial back the power to prevent detonation. I use a few 15 gal jugs from flo-fast and a hand pump that empties each one in about 2-3 min depending on how energetic you are. Have a garden wagon that holds 3 of the jugs at once. Haul em down and it gets my current boat (and this one) about 1/2 full. Need the premium for jet skis as well and since premium on the street is > $1/gal cheaper than midgrade at the dock, I justify it that way. Every once and a while I get lazy or stuck and put a few gallons in at the dock. The 15 gal jugs are possible to move by 1 person (in decent shape) so I can haul them in/out of my truck by myself. Check em out at flofast.com.

Your 450 requires premium fuel. Check your PCM owners manual. Your 450 converts back to a 409 when you run regular fuel. Probably not as bad for the engine as it would be for a 550 to run regular fuel...but without 93 octane, the 450 does not make 450 HP

Let's please not derail this thread with the octane/horespower thing again...

What a hideous boat. It's a good thing I am not one of your regular crew. Oh wait... Never mind.

So where is the debate for those of us who missed it? I'll go read.

This was my thoughts for my G23.

                    Got:
450 motor. Nothing less should be in these boats.
Got heater and heated seats. Wife pulls me frequently and she dislikes cold. Happy wife, happy life.
Got the pocket door. Ate me alive to pay a grand but the functionality is great. Another easy way to keep it warmer in boat. You can see a theme here.
Reversible seat is a must. So functional.
Got the bow armrests. Not sure about them, but why not?
Ladder for platform. My parents have had a hard time getting back on the 230s platform.
Engine fire extinguisher. Safety first and relatively cheap.
Bow filler cushion makes the bow a nice play area for kiddos.

                    What I didn't get:
Factory cover. Wanted a cover that has platform cover built in. My boat gets a lot of sun on its rear while on my lift.
Rear filler cushions. They are awkward, take up lots of storage and never used on 230.
Tower speakers and tower prep kit. Went with wet sounds rev10s, ws420EQ and amp instead. Better and cheaper.
Underwater lights. Don't use at night much and can do this later aftermarket if desired.
Battery charger. Cheaper to just buy own.
Design package. Don't like the white and ridiculous cost.

My boat is virtually his twin except I didn't get the heater/heated seat - and I got one pair of the factory tower speakers. Otherwise, identical except for colors.

This subject of the thread is G25 options. The engine is an option. Just trying to help. There is a lot of bad information out there. Pains me to see people buy a 450 thinking it does not require premium. Also painful to hear that someone who owns a G23 doesn't realize they need to be running premium in there 450. If you don't plan to burn premium, save yourself some money and buy a 409.

Thanks for the feedback. I put deposit down today but will have several weeks before production gets close to change things. I'm already reconsidering a few things based on feedback here. One thing that has really caused me some angina is the bimini. Really don't like the look of the std bimini and like the idea of the rack on the z5 but I'm 6'4" so the z5 is really a pain being as low as it is. Dealer is going to look at ways to modify to raise a few inches (may be able to get it up 2-3" at most) but that may be enough to make it a tad more functional for me. If not, I'll revert to the std one. Would need to mount tower speakers below the bimini or above the tower bar if we do this but I figure there's got to be an easy way to figure that out. Also still working on colors but I've got time for that as well.

I am honestly kind of curious why you react this way. Please share. My thinking is if you can afford a boat (particularly this one) probably should research, or huh, ask the dealer what kind of gas goes in it. People - we all - buy a lot of things and later find out we got into something we did not fully understand. But owners of a brand new boat with a 450 probably not high on my list to feel for.
