G23 cover options

They have strong velcro flaps and zippers that close up the holes. It is a really great system. I will only tow with the tower down and cover on now. No more bugs on the tower and speakers!!

I have to say - the factory cover is REALLY nice. If they simply made one that covered the whole transom/platform.. I'd buy it.

Im trying to figure out how the tower folds down with that bimini. How hard is that to remove?

Super easy. It is two hand knobs and two pins. Takes about 30 seconds to remove. It is kind of big, but does fit inside the boat with the cover on.

I believe the cost of a touchless is around 3k - but don't quote me. You'd have to contact them to be sure (just like any other cover builder). It's a shame prices aren't more readily available, but I can definitely say I will be buying the touchless in the future just from the sheer ease of use (that could also be read as "my sheer lazyness"). With me though, my wife isn't really into the whole wakeboarding scene and she *hates* covering, trailering, etc. The happier I can keep her, the more I get to ride so I have a real incentive to get the touchless

i have recently recently received a quote for a touchless cover canopy. I was told they don't retrofit around existing canopies so you have to purchase a new canopy with the automatic side curtains. they quoted between 6-7k if i install myself. seems about right considering what i paid before for my canopy i have now without side curtains.

not sure if that's helpful. but, just thought you all might want to know. the guy i talked to was knowledgeable and friendly.

That's my concern.. lion and I both get sun on our transoms (that sounds dirty).. so if there's a strip of gelcoat getting exposed between the cover/platform cover.. that's a no-go.

Hey Biggator, Lion90 - what cover did you end up using? Did the Carver cover end up working out? I also keep my boat on a lift and want a one piece cover that includes the swim platform. I ordered a G23 today and held off on the factory cover for now. Thanks!

We did get the Carver.. and they're still working out the kinks with their cover design for the G. The good news is - Carver is all over it.. I'm about to walk down to my dock to meet them - yes, they drove here to see our covers in person and figure out why they aren't perfect! I'll keep you updated, but I think they'll end up having a great cover (lion's 230 cover from them was fantastic)

That worlds best cover looks pretty cool and is substantially cheaper than the touchless plus it blocks out bugs etc. and doesnt' create a "roof" above you when you have the boat parked. Guy said $135/foot +/- which for a 25' boat is a tick under $3400. Given easy of on/off and fact it covers sides pretty well and will completely cover platform, that seems pretty good. thks for posting

The Carver guys are top notch. As biggator said, they drove to our docks to see exactly why we were not satisfied. The lead designer agreed that they weren't right so they went to our nautique dealer to re-template the boat. They then went back to the factory, made a prototype, tried in on a g23 that was near the factory to confirm. They then sent us two new covers which we just tried on today. They fit awesome and cover the swim platform.

I must say, in a world where customer is dwindling, Carver is taking it seriously. This has to be the best customer service and commitment that I have seen in a long time.
