    Best prop for a 200 w/ 343?

I'm wondering if anyone has fixed their 200 with an aftermarket prop?

Is there a specific prop that provides the boat with an even flatter wake? Or is the stock prop as good as it gets?

The 422 Acme is one of the best aftermarket props. I Have on on my 200 and it improved the wake at 15 and 22 off. You lose some hole shot but I don't think it's very noticeable.

What year is your boat and what prop do you have on it. This year there are 3 props available and 3 where approved for tournament use. I have heard great things about the 422 and 654. My new boat is coming with the 422.

      AC 654 4 12.5 x 15 Nibral
      AC 422 4 12.5 x 15.5 Nibral
      AC 1458 3 13 x 14 Nibral

I dont see the 1868 on your list... which, to my knowledge was the "stock" prop on 343 powered DD 200's?

I haven't purchased the 200 yet. However, when I do, I'm about 99% sure it will have the 343. There just aren't many 6.0L 's for sale out there.

I guess I'm also wondering if it's really worth the $400+ it will cost for another prop. Is the pull and wake good enough with the stock props?

We're running an 1868, standard 343 wheel. The pull is awesome, but the boat will rev pretty high at slalom speeds. The 2013 std prop will be the 654, which supposedly alleviates some of the rpm issue, and improves fuel efficiency. I'm anxious to pop one on, and see how it goes. I haven't heard any real world experiences yet, but maybe the promo guys could comment on it?

I believe the 654 has been the standard wheel on the 6.0L 200's to date. Are you suggesting CC is going to the 654 across the board?

Yup, 654 across the board. Here are the rpms it produces on the 343:

                32 mph 3460
                34 mph 3720
                36 mph 3970

I picked my boat up today and skied behind it. I am all smiles!

I did however notice the boat was turning some pretty high RPMs so I checked my prop. Its an 1868.

How high of RPM's? Im most curious about WOT- are you up against the rev limiter? Id like to see how a 470 or 1442 would work on a 200/Excal.

I can tell you at 36 mph its turning 4300. I think my boat was finished before the prop decision was made for the boat test so it was shipped with last years prop. I should have a new prop comming pretty soon.

I will once I get it all waxed up and ready to go.

New 654 on the way. I can't tell you how impressed I am with Nautique, they have been an absolute dream to work with.
