Also, see the search function for drive type, price range and distance from your state. This one I found searching for within 100 miles of Arkansas.

A 200V is your best bet but the cost might be prohibitive. Don't base your purchase on the few days that your extended family come out and hang out with you. Buy a boat that will meet your space requirements 80% of the time. JMHO. -Marc

I'm with this guy. I bought a 2009 206, over a 200v for 2 reasons. 1 I have always wanted a DD (skier first even if I am not good at it), I don't think I could have lived with myself if I did not by a DD as my first boat. 2. used 200v were not in my price range, at least not the 2 that were available in my area. If a used 200v was the same price i paid for my 206 it would be the better all around boat for my family.

My family is 2 adults, 2 small kids and a teenager. pleanty big for 80 percent of the time even if a couple friends join us.

My $0.02, 07+ 210, it will be great for your 80% utilization, and can stretch to handle the "Thanksgiving" crowd for holidays...If you find a later one, they went to a 12 person "rating," or at least the placard shows a 12 on it. These will ski ok, and empty the wakeboarding wake isn't huge and intimidating, plus you can learn to surf with stock ballast, and as your progress, add extra for a nice surfing wake. Good simple seating layout and storage, plus not bad to trailer, store or put on a regular lift. You can find a very nice one and later model at the high end of your price range, and a '08 in good shape and color at the lowish end of your range (prob more like middle).

Also, what Mikeski said about the Malibu V drives is true, the 23 LSV has a pretty small ski wake, and has TONS of room inside. Your regular crew can each have their own cushion, and for the holiday crowd, will have plenty of space. They don't drive like a Nautique, and IMHO don't have the build quality, but you can find them in your price range no problem.

Bingo!!! 07+ Sante 210's under 55k all day long. I sold my 08 5 months ago with 48 hrs on it for 49k. My boat basically brand new.

His original post was for a rec ski boat that could also be used to wakeboard, leading me to think skiing is somewhat more of a priority? If that's the case a 210 would be horrible. It's obviously an awesome wakeboat, but unless one is just riding a ski standing behind the boat, the 210 doesn't cut it as a ski boat - and of course was never intended to, so please don't take this as me ripping on it. Boarders would think the 200 is crap for their needs too.

I'm starting to think 206 or 216 with tower for his family.

I can do almost everything I want with my 206 - i don't have any PRO wake boarders, surfers or skiers to tow, but we do it all. It holds lots of people for a day on the lake - tower and racks are a must to keep the gear and ropes out of the boat for the day. And for pulling skiers in the slalom course, it tracks great and has a very acceptable wake (in my opinion but I'm only hacking into 32off).

My only comments might be that it is a challenge to get the wake just right for surfing and mine has the EX330 - I think I would love the larger engine. Crossover - I don't think you can go wrong with the 206. <>
