Anyone added additional batteries to a SANTE 230?

I'm thinking about adding additional batteries to my 2011 SANTE 230 and don't really want to put them in the storage locker up front.

I was thinking about enlarging the existing boxes to fix 1 more battery on each side, but was unsure if anyone had tried this before. We haven't looked under the existing box area, so unsure if there is any support structures in place.

PN community, any thoughts? I thought I remember reading a thread about this change, but can't seem to find it. Any help or input is surely appreciated.

This probably won't help much with your particular boat, but with the general demo/install here is my write up I did to my 2003 210 SANTE.

Assuming there is no structural members in the area you want to cut, I don't think you will have any issues. One thing to think about though... Your boat is new enough to have a warranty still, and if you ever ran into an issue the warranty could possibly be voided. I didn't have to worry about that anymore. It is a lot of messy work and those first cuts are quite un-nerving, but once you get started it's really too late to worry anymore. Just take your time, measure/plan before making any cuts, and you should be fine. I'm right at 1 year on my install and all the work is holding up great!
