Any buzz on release date of G21...?

I'm in the market for a new SANTE 210.

I heard some buzz that we may hear something on the G21 around Wake Games in April 2014?

I realize this is a whole season away, and I won't go another season without a boat, but it may effect my decision on which boat to buy.

    thanks

I heard from a CC rep that the G21 will be released in 2014, the 230 will be getting a new top deck, and the 230 and 210 production will be cut way back. I'm guessing 2014 Wakegames release for the G21.

my recommendation is to find a good used boat to get you through the season.

That would be in line with it coming out as a 2014 model.

Good call. I am concerned that all of us 210 owners will see resale values drop once the G21 appears. I, for one, would want to upgrade, especially to a G21 with NSS!

I don't think you will see re-sale values drop on the 210. Guessing, just guessing the G21 will come with a 120Kish price tag. So you can own a 2012, 2013 210 for 75-80Kish or a new G21 for 120Kish. Also we are talking retail here. Retail to retail gang.

Eitherway the G21 will be a great boat i'm sure.

                  The "upgrade" price from a 230 to a G23 is approximately $20k, so I would assume that the 21 footer would be similar. (A $85k 210 will be a $105k G21.)

I think the 210 owners are safe. I doubt there is any real dramatic drop in value.

Not sure on the release date but Nautique has NOT abandoned the Byerly edition!! . I talked to a sales rep at the boat show about the G21 and he said he wasnt at liberty to discuss it (of course) but he asked if I had noticed that the Byerly 210 was dropped and I said yes and he said well Scott Byerly LOVES a 21 foot boat...I wonder whats gonna happen and he winked at me. So the Byerly G21 will officially be the coolest boat ever

That's interesting news. I spoke to a rep at the Nautique factory who said they've built the last Byerly, there won't be anymore.

From what I understand the first Byerly was built for 2009 or 2010 and finished with the new 2012 style for a run of 73 boats (the year Byerly was born).

Now, we all understand marketing, they can always change their mind and offer something "new"...

Speaking of marketing, I wonder when/if the Murray G23 is going to make its debut? I have been hearing rumors of a Murray Icon Edition pretty much since the Byerly 210 came out.

When I toured the factory back in earl January I asked about the Murray G23 and he basically smiled and said it's been discussed and Shaun is a great guy who's more than deserving of it. He gave me nothing definite though.

Both the Byerly G21 and Murray G23 would be insane boats!!!
