Nice February Morning on the PN G23

Went out with Jeff today on the PN G23 on lake Anna. Water was 65 degrees and air was about 55 degrees. Felt good actually. Wake is perfect. I could see some folks (expert level) wanting a bit more kick with a few more pounds of ballast, but for 95% of riders it is more than enough. Rode at stock ballast @23 mph and I think 75' of line. 550hp is superb. I have ridden one with the 450 and it is adequate, but the 550 is sweet and I wouldn't call it overkill. Very happy with the options we picked out and the colors are wicked. The boat's fit and finish are second to none. The layout is great for families needing lots of room for kids and all their stuff. Can't say much about the surf wave because I really don't know what I'm doing in that department. I can tell you that it is much larger than my super sport, but that's about it. It will be interesting to see if NSS will help beginners with dropping the rope. Thanks for the pull today Jeff. Look forward to riding when the weather is a tad warmer.

I take it you're not doing the official 25 hours to 'break in'? I think I made it 15 with my last boat..

I have gone through the break-in procedure. The guys at the factory put a couple of hours on it before I took it as well. No worries about that.

My guess is very few of the dealer boats go through a break in procedure either. Besides its widely disputed what a breaking really is anyway. The big thing is the 25 hour fluid changes.

Man I used to ride that exact same spot until about 2 years ago...Kinda wishing I was back down there in that heated water!
