    Time to update my signature!

Thanks to Andrew and Phil @ Buxton, I've probably annoyed them with more questions and spent more of their time than anyone else here who had never even ordered a boat. If my continued dealings with Buxton are as pleasurable as my pre-purchase dealings then I'm in great hands for a very long time.

    Options:
    450
    Regular Bimini
    Reversible Seat (duh?)
    Mirror w/ Extension
Heater (we start early and go long)
    Heated Driver's Seat
    Pocket Door
    Bow Filler Cushion
    Cover + Platform Cover
NSS - We currently surf less than 5% of the time, with this I can see that # shooting up to 10-20% which is good on my aging knees/body.
    Transom Stereo Remote

Considering adding on the sun deck cushion still, not sure what that cost.

Anyhow...I guess I'm officially part of the club now!!

I agree. I love the design of the 230 sunpad filler cushion (the one with the magnet). The G23 has two separate pieces, and they are stored in the side compartments using snaps and hooks. They take up a good deal of space, and will probably only rarely be used. I didn't get that option on mine.
I own and operate Silver Cove Marine, which is an inboard boat restoration, service, and sales facility located in Mooresville, North Carolina. We specializes in Nautiques and Correct Crafts, and also provide general service for Nautiques fifteen years old and older.

Thanks! Mainly a mix of Sublime Green, Black, and White. My first X-Star was yellow, my current one is green. I prefer some bright colors on a boat. Obviously to each their own but to me a boat is all about fun, and bright kind of goes hand in hand with that. I was hard-up between Orange Crush and Sublime Green as the main color. Since I have a green one now, orange seemed like a more natural choice but in the end the green won me over for another round.

              Cheers,

Thanks for the feedback on the sunpad. I'm still undecided. I'm used to the X-Star which has a longer sunpad area than this G does. The G leaves no room to stretch out back there. I'm also used to have one big sunpad for all the girls, not a walkway cutting it up. I think I'll get the boat and give it a month or so of use without the sunpad and see how we adapt.

Indeed! Phil mentioned back in October they already had one sold on my lake (Bridgeport). The guy traded in his 2012 230 with virtually no hours on it. I know the 230 and the house, its right around a peninsula from mine. As for my lake, we really, really need some rain or I'm in trouble. My dock is not looking good and we're 15 feet under conservation. There's enough water to wakeboard, its a deep lake, but I can't use my dock. We may do a lot of traveling this year to board, but honestly I hope not.

I used to tube that pond they call Lake Jacksonville with my Yamaha Exciter before it was even mine. I spent half my time in between Jacksonville and Rusk for a couple of years back around 2000. Great BBQ hole in the wall in Rusk, can still taste it. We always love to meet new people and share our hobbies, and would definitely be up to travel, host, or meet in the middle.

                  Cheers,

                  Dusty

That green sounds sick but I LOVE the crush orange. You probably would have had the best looking G23 out there had you gotten crush with silver!

Man im with ya on the color choice. I ordered mine last week and still have not decided on the colors. My current 230 is orange and black and I love it but I tossed the idea around to going to green to switch it up. In the end my heart always goes back to the orange haha im sure ill end up with the same black hull, orange main and front stripe, and black accents its not for everyone but I know I will love it. I did see a g with a green hull, metal flake grey main, white front, and black accents it was awesome actually has me thinking of doing that with orange hull. I think picking out colors is the worse thing ever I have to make my mind up by Friday and I think I have been on design builder all week haha good luck man and good choice on the green. O and I wouldn't opt for the rear filler pad, I have one on my 230 and I bet I have used it 2 times. People usually lay up front of one on each side of the walk way plus you can always add it later! Congrats on the G !!!

Ha, I just replied to your thread actually. I did yellow on my first X-Star, green on my current X-Star, and I was a coin flip away from going orange on this G.
I considered the same gunmetal metal flake for the main stripe, but ultimately went a different way. I only saved 2 boats on designyournautique and one had the metal flake, the other didn't. My main factor came down to since I'm getting 2 green boats in a row I wanted this one to have an overall different design. My current X-Star (I have a few pics uploaded here if you view my profile) has green in the front half of the hull and black in the back half. The metal flake reminded me too much of my X-Star...green front and black back. So I had to change it up and filter more of the green to the back.

So many beautiful colors I don't think you can go "too" wrong.

                          Regards,

                          Dusty

Oh there's definitely a few color schemes I've scratched my head on. But for the most part, stick to a main color + some black/white/flake and you're going to be fine. Start mixing more colors and...well...its a crap shoot.
Thanks, its been a hard decision to give up my perfectly great X-Star that's been wonderful to me. I'm sure I'll miss her, hopefully not much though after I get my feet wet with the G!
Yeah, those are my cars. I had the 360 when I bought the '06 X-Star, but that's long gone. As for sports cars, I currently have the F430, GT-R, and my original Supra that started it all for me. They are all very different cars with completely different reasons to drive one over the other. I hated the Lambo, it was so boring to drive, completely uninspiring. Absolute sex to look at, but I don't buy a car to park it in a garage.

                              Cheers,
