Hi all - looking to get into a 2010 or newer 230 sometime soon and was wondering how you guys who are running water ballast (no lead) weight the front/bow of the boat while keeping all ballast hidden (not taking up any passenger room). I would be running two 750's in the rear (plumbed in using the Fly High piggyback method) and I only wakeboard (no surf). On my 2008 210 that I just sold, I ran two 400's in the rear lockers, a 370lb tube sac in the ski locker plumbed into the ~650 integrated bow sac...that set-up worked great, but I've seen that the newer 230's do not have a ski locker anymore as the center/belly tank is no longer U-shaped and has been filled in (thus eliminating the space that much of an Arrow Sac could be used). Also, aside from cutting holes, I do not even see how you can access the space under the deck in front of the belly tank to install a ballast bag (maybe I am missing something...I did a quick look on a 2013 230 at our boat show a few weeks ago). The best guess I have is to somehow squeeze a Fly High Open Bow Sac (#W706) in through some opening, lay it flat in front of the belly tank under the deck and plumb that in....then if that is not enough weight, run the Integrated Sac (#W711) off of the Bow Sac - I've heard that the 230 likes a LOT of nose/bow weight where as my 210 liked a heavy rear.
Anyway, just thinking ahead and curious to see what others are doing with their 230's. Thanks in advance.
