We have had poor weather for getting out so far this spring but I was able to get out last night with one other friend to experiment with weight. Boat: 2012 210TE with NSS.

    factory ballast full
400lb additional sac in each rear locker
    400lb sac in the bow
400lb sac on the port side seat.

I actually drained about half of the rear Starboard tank to favor the Port side a little bit. The NSS on 3, hydrogate around 1.5 and 10.4mph. Bow weight was crucial as was adding additional weight on Port side. Now I just need to decide on piggy backing some rear locker bags or removing tanks and putting bigger bags in. I will surely be piggy backing an arrow sac or similar for the bow.

The NSS is so awesome! With the weight configuration used above the wave was identical both sides. Did my first transfer last night... need to practice heelside on the darkside.

F725, thanks for the intel. Did you do the transfer with a lean to the port side or did you balance it out for the transfer.

I didn't change a thing for ballast for switching sides. Just touch the NSS and instant great goofy side wave!

One thing that made me curious... We tried to weight the boat evenly to start with but the boat had a slight list to the Starboard side. Wondered if my port side rear tank wasn't completely full so I ran the pump and started venting out within 30 seconds so it must have been full. I can't explain the slight lean unless the starboard side is naturally a bit heavier? Once I took some of the ballast off of the Starboard tank the boat leveled out.

Here is a pic of the goofy wake with my buddy riding. Doesn't look real big in the photo but it does show how clean it is.

Driver weight on starboard could be enough?

Well considering I had a 400lb sac on top of the rear starboard tank I'll try without next time and just run stock in that corner. Only our 3rd time out and really the first time trying different weighting options so I can't believe it won't get better yet in the days / weeks to come.

All in all, I'm very pleased with the wave it made and the fact that both sides were the same without having to mess with the hydro gate, speed or NSS (besides the obvious quick switch). My previous boat made a really nice wave but this felt even better. Glad I made the switch to Nautique.

Looks like we'll have a few days in a row now without rain!!!

I also have 2012 SANTE 210 with NSS. Boat favors starboard side. I've run with several ballast configurations and two people in boat that weigh the same, so theoretically exactly even weight.

The wake is definitely better on goofy side, and I have to unevenly weight the boat to port in order for that wake to clean up.

I wouldn't say the the goofy side is better based on how I weighted it yesterday. The port side looked as good or better than the starboard but it took some patience.

Can someone tell me how much the integrated bow bag fills? (or a guess anyway) The space is pretty small and I just want to make sure adding ballast under the bow seats will make enough of a difference.

iamcdn - in my 2008 210 SANTE, the integrated sac filled about half way....so call it ~325-350lbs. If you have the ski locker in your 210, I would highly recommend running both the tube Fly High sac in the ski locker plumbed up to the integrated sac...this will give you enough bow weight hidden to do whatever it is your looking to do (surf or wakeboard). I sold my 210, but still have the tube sac with all hoses and fittings for sale if you're interested.

Thanks, that is helpful. I have the belly tanks and a ski locker but there is not much room in there for another bag. Wakemakers said a bag wouldn't fit in there.

I concur with this............you can add some weight up front but it just pushes the sweet spot of the wave backward.

                        2. Rear 400lb Fly High Sac full (whatever side you are surfing on) in the rear locker
                        3. Belly Factory Tank full (no bow weight....I had the integrated sac that I used for wakeboarding)

Wave was pretty good....I've heard its even better with 750's in the rear lockers (they will fit).

Well I think my buddy and I got my 2008 210 about as dialed in as it can be. here is what we rode today:
                          gas tank 1/2 full
                          belly 3/4 full
port rear 1,100 lb sac (almost all the way full)
under so called love seat seat stretching almost to bow about 450 lbs (could be bit fuller) w705 sac

basically whole boat leans sideways with some bow rise.

We have only been surfing this season and are starting to practice getting pop off the wake...having some fun with that.

I moved the sub from under love seat to port side just in front of 1,100 lb sac.

i really like this setup as there is no sac's out in the way.

Well I ordered the 750# rear locker sacs and the arrow sac for the front. We will see how that goes. Can't wait to try it!
