Looking to buy a 2001 210. What to look for?

Interesting? I have a feeling there's more wrong with the boat than just a tranny if he dropped the price to $6,500. A brand new, installed tranny isn't THAT expensive. I'm curious what the OP has top say.

Boat is for sale on Ebay with No Reserve...currenlty there are are 2 bids and the price is at 16,600. The reverse gear went out according to the description in his ebay add. He did say the engine is running smooth though when he took it out on the water.

Now having read the eBay description I wouldn't buy that boat for any price. On a side note, not sure the 2001 year had the power actuated single piece sundeck/engine cover, all of the 2001's I have seen have the 3 piece sun deck/engine cover - might actually be a 2000...

All the '01s I have seen with the wrap around seating have the 1 piece sundeck/engine cover. I'm guessing early model '01s came with the wrap around seating and 1 piece sundeck until the new 3 peice sundeck was added and the seat arrangement was modified and rolled out into the '01s sometimelater that year. Not positive on this though and could be wrong...would have to do some fact checking.

Quinner...just curious how did you you look that up to tell its a '00? Or were you able to tell the year just by the VIN/Hull ID #.

It also says 75th anniversary which makes it a 2000 sine CC has been "on the waters of the world since 1925."

I am pretty sure they made 75th anniversary models well into 2001.

Seems a little bit odd but CCs does some strange things with decals sometimes so it certainly doesn't shock me. Thanks for correcting me.

Good luck on the boat hunt OP. I'm sure something else will come along for you. I lost out on 3 before I ended up with mine but I couldn't be happier in the end so hopefully everything works out for you too.
