Why so much hate for the 2004 FCT?

Just wondering why people dislike the 2004 FCT? I have always read that on these forums and I was curious as to some of the reasons why? I just bought a 2004 Super Air 210 and I think the lines of the tower compliment the lines of the boat very well and folding it down to get the boat in my garage was super easy. I considered selling it and picking up a New Dimensions FCT to replace it, but I'm not sure I am going to do that anymore...

I think the only knock is on visibility, which is not as good as the older tower. I think it has to do with where the tower connects to the boat. I would not bother changing it.

I think people mainly didn't like the curved lower part of the tower. There is nothing wrong with the tower itself. It is just different than every other year, thus why it is not as popular.

This. The curve doesn't follow the lines of the windshield so it looks a little awkward to my eye. If I had one, there's no way I'd replace it because of that...it's not like it's ugly. What you think about it is what counts.

Agreed, I think the only issue is that the curvy lower legs don't follow the same lines as the windshield but it is far from ugly. I see no reason to go through the trouble of swapping it for an NDT.

I noticed your signature and remembered the thread about the accident with your '99. Glad to see you are back in a nautqiue again. Those pics of your '99 on the side of the road made me sick to my stomach but thankfully nobody was hurt.

Agree with above. I dont know that I would have caught that until I stumbled on the thread, upon further review it stands to reason the gripes, but by NO means would it have been a deal breaker or need to be replaced IMHO.
When where did you buy your 04? pics? Did you realize this before you picked it up?

I have an '04, and that was one of the things that caught my eye, was the lines of the tower

My buddy has an '04 and I think the tower looks cool.

04 tower looks better powdercoated and not silver IMO! I like the 00-03' tower but that's just me
