    750 sacs in 210 lockers

    1. leave the carpet floor out or put in back between hard tank and sac? seems to be more room with it out. plus the bag can get more towards the rear.
    2. fill hole in sac in front of boat or back? seems like in front you might be able to get the extra water that is going to lay in the part were the floor drops off.

    any thoughts?

    1&2. On mine, there was a vertical flap in the carpet panel along the interior transom wall which required a hole saw to route the fill line in order for the new 90* fitting to line up with the fill port on the back wall of the sac. I was trying to make a "clean" install with as little excess hose visible as i could manage. I went with keeping the carpet panel in just because I thought it would look nicer than without, and I figured stuff would end up dropping into the void between the hull and the ballast tank. Yeah, you're probably right about the front end water pocket...you could probably rout the hose in the void I mentioned.

      Take carpeted board out. Nice place to store required extra life jackets or fenders down beside the hard tanks. Will also help to allow the 750 to fill closer to capacity. I cut a piece of a noodle and duct taped it over the tank level sending unit to keep it from damaging the bag or vice versa.

        If you take the carpeted board out, I'd be concerned about stuff falling behind or to the side of the hard tank...though I've never run that way, so I might be wrong. I left mine in but modified the horizontal pieces with exterior grade plywood so they extended straight out over the front of the hard tank where the hard tank slopes down. This kept the bag level for draining and gave me a storage area for a few things under the ledge created by the plywood (which I carpeted so everything looked OEM).

        You don't have to drill through the vertical piece in the back--you can use elbows to route the hose around or over that piece.

        In the end, I took the hard tanks out and run 750 bags plus 100lbs of lead. The difference in useable storage is huge...the hard tanks are very inefficient wrt space. I'm much happier with this set up. I have similar weight (if not more) compared to when I previously filled 400lb piggyback bags (full, those took up the entire rear storage) and I still have room for vests, drysuits, etc.
