That is really strange. Is that a ACME prop? Thought almost all 210's come with the 1579, atleast team edition boats.

think someone is trying to pull a fast one. (the dealer). that prop has a 17.5 pitch. you would have zero low end.

My dealer or yours? The 1579 is good or no good?

The 1579 is the factory "power prop" for the team edition 210 and 230. Wakeprops.com has a nice table showing which props are good for what application. Personally I'm thinking about putting the new 1433 on my 210. It's 14" in diameter and will give a little more hole shot for when fully loaded.

Thanks for the breakdown. I will look into the 1433 . . . I'm sure there are some threads on this.

One real easy way to verify the information is to call or email Nautique yourself, give them your hull number and ask (1) if the factory is to furnish or the dealer is to furnish a prop -- and if factory, what was sent out on your hull. They would have a record, is my bet.

My 210 also has the 1579...if you go to the acme marine site you can look up the specs (as you might already have done to say it has a 17.5" pitch -- wow!)

After about 50 hours of use with the 1617, I highly recommend it. I just don't think the 1433 is going to be that much of an improvement over the 1579.

I run about 3k lbs of ballast. Stock + 750s in the back + integrated bow sack.

Thanks for that. I had forgotten about Jeff's review. That 1617 is definitely a better option.

If its a TEAM boat, it should have the 1579 prop. However, if they are going to give you another prop, go for the 1235 (14.5" diameter). Hands down the best prop for that boat (ACME will tell you the same). The Nautique factory boats are all running 1235's. I got a better hole-shot, more top end (went from 37.7 mph on the Zero Off to 41.0 mph on the Zero Off) when I swapped my 1579 to a 1235 on my 2008 SANTE 210. Boat changes dramatically for the better.....

my 2010 210 has the 1579 on it, I was looking into the 1235, but no one could say for sure if it would or wouldn't cause gel coat burn.

Seems very strange to have anything but the 1579 on a 210 from the factory or the dealer.

Sac Surfer - gel coat burn was something I was worried about too before I threw the 1235 on. I called ACME and talked to them about it. They said some people experience the burn and others do not (he said that it would start to show in around a year if it was going to do it). He said Nautique just re-gels it if it happens to their boats (easy since the gel guy is obviously right there). He said the best solution is to wait and see if the burn shows up - if it does, then have a gel coat guy remove about 1/8" of gel in a 1" x 4" (he was estimating) area then have a piece of stainless epoxy'd in place so that its flush with the hull. He said then you're good to go moving forward (ie no gel to burn). Obviously its person to person preference, but the performance is just so much better in every way with the 1235 that it was worth it to me (I sold the boat before it was ever a problem though). 1579 prop is fine for factory ballast.....if you add additional ballast, then 1235 is the only way to go IMO.
