PCM just confirmed no differences in the XR engine other than the black paint and lack of stainless headers.

      Those are some expensive headers.

Thats what I'm saying! I can't see how the paint would change much other than the red is metallic and probably has clear where as the black is just a single stage wrinkle paint.

That is a ridiculous mark up. I'd be pissed if I had ordered a boat with the XS if paint and headers are the difference in 6K.

These G Series boats are too expensive for me anyways but I had to chime in.

No doubt! CC does have a hefty mark up on their engines. A brand new ZR 409 6.0 from SKIDIM is only $2,800 more than the 5.7 Excal. I believe that's around a $6k upgrade from CC. Now $6k for paint and headers - yikes!!

I'm stuck with an XS and probably would have ordered an XR but someone said the stainless headers were several grand which accounts for the bulk of the delta. They're relatively low production and huge so it's not hard to see they would be very expensive.
