    2012 link custom settings

I spent some time going threw the link settings and coming from gauges, its kinda confusing.
maybe its one of those things that's going to take some getting use to, like a new hunting gps with all kinds of custom settings.
seems that everybody that has the link- likes it. so it must be user friendly with a short learning curve.

-does the back to dock question always come up when you first start the boat? anyway to avoid that question so that you do not have to press yes or no .
    - when screen is most common to stay on and use?
-are there any custom settings to use to make navigation easier?
-does anybody not use the keylock code and just press start to start. I never leave my boat overnight.

I need to get this thing out my garage and take some pics. we are getting 5 more inches of snow tonight. im getting the snowboards out again that I just put away.

don't have linc but I don't have a code on my boat's keypad. It's always garage kept so I see no need.

In my very immature experience (even though I have spent a lot of time messing with Linc)

-The Linc will ask you if you want to return to whatever setting it was last on when you shut it off, I haven't found a way to stop it from asking
-I will probably keep it on the Music screen
      -Don't know
-I will always have mine on, just one more level of security in case something goes bad (Drunk friends or kids starts pushing buttons, someone wants to steal it, im diving to cut off a tow rope and someone trys to turn on music but starts boat instead . . . ) Just like the idea of having my boat under complete control (and yes, I know I wont be "totally locking" it all the time) . . .

And I'm getting 6-10 inches here in Central, IL. last year I was almost ready to be on the water at this time!!!! I hate this!

my same thoughts on the passcode. I used it on my 2005 I will do it again on this one. I pick a code that uses all the buttons once so they get the same use. maybe a less of a chance for a failure down the line. we were cutting grass last year this weekend. now I just had to dig my plow out of the shed to put on the can am, again.
