Jet Black Metal Flake on a Onyx Black hull who has it or seen it in person?

Hello, I am evaluating colors for a new order.

I always go all onyx black. I would like to change it up a bit and go all jet black metal flake with the onyx hull. Very hard to tell by pictures but does anyone have any good pictures of jet black metal flake on their 2013's? Or have a similar color scheme? Do you like it or not?


I am wondering if it looks more grey than black due to the metal flake and if it will have a contrast to the onyx black hull. I am going for an all one color look, but would love to have the main stripes have a little flash in them with the metal flake.

Any thoughts or experiences with the jet black metal flake against onyx black hulls? Pics would be great as well!

Buxton had one on their lot last week.... customer owned boat. Black on Black metal flake. It looked awesome. The 2 blacks did not look the same... the black metal flake was a dark black gray .... while the black hull and bow was the deep onyx black. it looked great, very well done. now the 2 blacks were different... but understand you have the graphics in between them so its not a clash or an issue. I dont know that I would want an all black boat like that as hot as it is here in the summers 100-120degs you could fry and egg and folks on the transom would have to be carefull where they lean back... but it IS and slick looking color combo.

JD Webbs has it with the main part as the flake and the hull as the onyx and it looks really good. I have seen it in person and wow just the way to two blacks go together really works. The interior of his boat is all black too, like every bit of the vinyl is a dark grey or black and it didnt reallly got that hot after being out in it for a afternoon.

Correct me if I'm wrong....BUT...that pic in your thread appears to be Gunmetal...Not the Black flake...He's talking solid black and Black flake combo....

Yep, that photo James posted in gunmetal flake...not the black flake. the black flake is much darker.

I think the black metal flake over onyx looks great and it definitely doesn't clash but I have only seen it in pics of SANTELEE's boat. There are a few pics of his boat in this thread:
