    More Seadek

We just finished installing a 220 Kit this week and updating the outside with newer graphics. It turned out pretty sweet. The thing in my opinion looked terrible with the factory graphic on it. The crest graphics and super air drip molds contrast very well with the white and turned it into a completely different boat. It deserved to look good because it is a ZR6 boat too. Owner traded it on a new 210 409 with the exact same color scheme. We also switched the 7 piece platform out for a 3 piece and went with current Nautique Chromax on the rear. It completely changed the boat.

What do you think? look good in your opinion?

Looks awesome Zach! A really classy update that makes it look quite a bit newer. It reminds me of Luke's 220: http://www.planetnautique.com/vb3/sh...981-First-boat

The pics are messing with my eyes, is it an orange hull or red?

The hull is red. That white/grey is super clean. I love that look.

Pretty cool what you can do with some decals and flooring. Makes the boat look like a current model instead of an 06.

Is the griffin graphic kit for a 230? Did you have to do a lot of trimming to get it to fit correctly? It looks amazing and I am sure somebody that didn't know any better would think it was a brand new boat sitting on the lot.

Nope, It's a 220 kit. Got it from our friends over at White Lake. Townsend hooked me up. They bought all of the close out decal kits. They are getting a little age on them so they take a little extra love on the install but it turned out looking great.

For sure, I like the interior in the 220 I think its kinda cool with the back seat the way it is. They look close enough to a current 210 that they can be looked as newer boat.

I never liked the 220 interior when I was looking through the brochures. It seemed like the lean backs just wasted a bunch of seat space but I had never been on one until last summer. After being in my buddies for a few minutes I realized how comfortable it is and that style interior definitely works. The convertible stern seat like the 210 is a great feature too. I always wondered why that wasn't an option in the 230. Seems much better thought out and the big removable rear facing seat. I thought for sure they would add the G23 style rear seat to the 230 this year.

How come they stopped making the 220? Low sales numbers? I have nothing to back this up but it seems like they were making more 220s than 226s so it seems like it would make more sense to drop that if they wanted to get rid of a hull while the economy was sagging. I know the 226 and 220 are much different boats but the 220 is a great boat that didn't seem to stay in production very long. At least it lasted longer than the 216V and Nautique Excel.

I'm taking a guess here, but I think the difficulty in balancing out the wake (I've heard its extremely finicky side to side....way more than a 230) and the unpopularity of the interior layout did the 220 under. Its a shame - I spent a day in a 2006 220 back in 2009 and thought it was a great boat....that was the first Nautique I had ever been in (always MC's before that) and that experience brought me over to CC (now on my second Nautique).
