Unfortunately I don't think that is going to work. The SAN is 1.5 feet longer than a Ski and it is also wider. The axle for a V-drive trailer is further back than it would be for a direct drive to compensate for the weight of the engine. If you are just trying a one time deal to transport the boat a short distance than it may work but even that is probably a stretch. Being in Orlando you should be able to find something that will fit much better I would think.

In addition to the points Shawn raised, the hull isn't the same shape and more importantly the axle on DD trailer is probably only rated for 3500 lbs, where as the dry weight of the v drive plus the weight of the trailer itself will be much more than that. the single axle trailer for a vdrive will have a 5000 lb axle...

CC started putting 5k lb axles on their single axle #3 Ski Nautique trailers starting in '86. Ive never seen a single axle 5-lug Ramlin (they took over the trailer biz from CC around '95), which is the telltale sign of a 3500lb axle (or lighter). Thats what I would consider a factory trailer... if talking about another brand, all bets are off.
Hull shape is unlikely to be an issue on a CC/Ramlin... the wish bone design doesnt fit any of the hulls remarkably well. The 19'6" NWZ (1990-1996 SN) gave birth to the 2nd gen Sport (94-01), which the Super Sport/210 used 95-'06... so I bet there wouldnt be a fit problem.
All other points I agree with. The weight distribution of the VD will make a DD trailer a pretty poor choice.

My current custom performance trailer for my 196 has a 3500# axle (5 lug pattern) where as the ramlin single axle that sat under my old super sport was a 5000# axle (six lug).

yes, but im not doing much towing at all since the boat is on the lake, and to buy a trailer for 4-6k for a 8 year old boat doesn't really make sense to me.

Sure - I get that you don't want to spend a lot of money for a trailer you don't use frequently, just keep in mind if you put the boat on a trailer that isn't designed to handle it and you get into an accident due to an issue with it, not only are you risking serious damage to a $30k boat, you also run the risk of being arrested and/or sued.
I personally think 4k is cheap insurance for securely and safely transporting you boat.
have you looked at getting a single axle trailer with no frills from a dealer near you? I would think you could secure one for $3k, or can you possibly have a marina pull and store the boat for you to eliminate the need for a trailer all together?
Another angle is to broaden your search radius to look for a used vdrive trailer, they are definitely out there. Heck, if I still had my old super sport, I would offer to sell you my old trailer for $500 so I could get a new one because I do a ton of trailering. Try putting a post up on the boats wanted forum on this site and see who comes out of the woodwork!
Good luck.

jmo thanks for the advice..ill keep looking around and broadening the search.
do you think any v drive trailer will work for this boat? like a mastercraft v drive and such?
Having only owned nautiques I just don't know. In theory it should support the weight and should have the axle aligned appropriately to the engine block (this is key) so it's balanced correctly and results in the correct amount of tongue weight on the tow vehicle, but the fit will be the question. Some trailers can adjust by moving the bow stop to accommodate some variation in length.
To me, 3-4k is worth the peace of mind it buys in knowing your baby is in good hands when out of the water.
