    Throw Back Thursday

So we just finished up this stunning 2001 Super Sport. I thought It would make for a cool photo opp. It's staged in the show room so it looks like a bran new 2001. Wet sanded and buffed, graphics and pinstripes, new trailer paint/wheels/tires. Wish I remembered these on the show room floor back in 01.

Can anyone tell I am getting cabin fever? haha.

206 hours. The customer traded on a 200. He had it up at this lake house and he is a tournament skier around here. He has a beautiful yellow 09 196 and he is going to move the 196 up to the lake house and keep the 200 down here on the tournament lake.

Wow that looks brand new! Is it silver cloud above the N-stripe where it says Super Sport or is it Natural? It looks a little bit tan but I can't tell if it just the lighting of the pics or not. Either way that is a great look 2001.

I'd love to see pics of my boat when it came off the line back in 99. I will have to dig them up but I know my parents have pics and video of my dad bringing our new 91 Sport home for the first time. It was a complete surprise to my 9 year old brother and I(11 years old). Our Stingray I/O had been in the shop for about a month and my dad said the boat was coming home that day and he surprised us with the Nautique. In the video you can hear us asking "it is ours, it's really ours?" It was ours and we have since put over 1700 hours of family fun on it and my brother is still adding to that total.

Nice air GT. We might be trading for another SS in the same scheme. Popular much?

Ski work is a pretty good time .

I was trying to locate the article Erik wrote to answer this question: is the super sport hull in these photos the same as the early Super Air before it was called the 210? If so, am I correct that a person could add ballast and a tower and end up with a Super Air?

Yes the only difference between a Super Sport and a Super Air is graphics and standard features, they are the same hulls. The capacity plate on most Super Airs actually say Super Sport on them. The Super Sport started in 95 and then around 97 they made a slight change to the chine cut outs to help handling but it seemingly did not affect the wake. 97-06 the hull itself remained unchanged and in 07 the new and current 210 replaced these boats. In 2002 they changed the deck to create more passenger room by narrowing the gunnels and flattening the transom a little bit but the wetted surface did no change. Before 2007, it was the same boat weather it was called a Super Air, Super Sport or a 210.

Shawn is on it. Were currently putting a black ND tower on a beautiful neutral/black 99 SS that we sold a few weeks ago. The boat got the same treatment as this SS and it will look amazing with matching black correct tower.

Well I am still looking for the throw back shots of our 91 Sport but I did come across this gem of my first time water skiing in August of 83. Unfortunately I don't think it was a behind a CC but that is our Glastron Tri-hull in the background.

I was 2 years and roughly 10 months old at the time but just like on a wake board, Parks has me beat by a long shot: http://www.people.com/people/archive...082348,00.html

Well it's Thursday so I figured I would share this pic from the 91 brochure. I still remember being about 11 years old when I looked closer at the reflection and read the caption and my mind was blown. I must have thumbed through that brochure a dozen times before I noticed that.
