    Ballast Tanks for 08 210

Is there any need for ballast tanks once they have been removed in favor of a Sac upgrade? For some reason, I can't make myself discard these, even though they just take up a huge amount of room in my garage. I put a post up in the classifieds with pics, but I was wondering if most people just chunked the tanks once removed. I can't see how they even could affect re-sale value...

You are correct that potential resale is the only reason that some people hang onto their tanks. I assume most buyers would rather have sacks and extra storage when empty than the tanks. On the other hand potential buyers that don't need the extra ballast would probably rather have the tanks so that the gauges are still functional. If you have the room to store them then it's probably best to hang on to them so that you don't potentially limit the amount of interested buyers when you go to sell but if you get rid of them I wouldn't think you would have much trouble selling.

I am exact same position. Except, although a pita i hoisted them up my attic stairs. so they are in attic rather then garage so no big deal. I thought about putting on craigs list or something, but figured i would get nothing and would worry about resale.

the only other thought i had was that i wondered if i could some how use them to make a hard tank to fit the ski locker area. would have to bond the corners put if done right then the current belly tank could be linked to the new made one so that they fill equally and empty equally so then would not have to piggy back and gauge would work.

      thoughts?
