Weighting My 1980 Ski Nautique Pre 2001

How much weight do i need? I have one fat sac in the back but what else do i need? What location in the boat do the other weight need to be in?

I have a 1989 and run two side sacks on either side of the engine. Makes a really nice wake and keeps the front end from doing wheelies.

I to have a pre 2001 hull, how much bigger will the wake be with ballast, i think i am going to go with the sun lounger types that go down the side of the engine but dont want to loose the space if the wake is not going to improve a lot. also will the wakr remain the same shape and just be bigger?
To keep it relevent to this post is by the side of the engine a good location?

As I recall from tricking behind the earlier Nautiques they are very narrow in the rear and produce fairly steep wakes without ballast . So I would guess that you would need to run just as much up front as you run in the back. If I had your boat I would set it up with one 500lb sack in the back and one 500lb sack in the bow. I would probably use two simer pumps for simplicity and run them with different amounts of water until I liked the wake. With a 350lb boat crew, I would guess something like 300lb up front and 500lb out back should provide a bootin' wake. I wouldn't feel comfortable with much more then weight.
