    99 - 06 SANTE 210 - Ski Pole ?

    Gday gang.

    Looking at buying a SANTE 210 in the near future.

    I have noticed that the ski pole behind the rear lounge is very low and from what I can tell it is not extendable to a new height although I may be wrong.

    I am concerned that if I were to tow from this point, and not the tower, that when cornering, taking off etc the rope will rub against the engine lid and destroy the cover. Is this a legitimate concern and if so what can be done about it.

    Secondly, I like to dabble infrequently in a slalom. If ballast is dealt with appropriately and a longer rope used can you slalom behind a SANTE 210?

    Any info would be appreciated.

      Towing off the pylon will not hurt the sun deck, I towed off my super sport pylon for years (skiing, wake boarding, tubing) without incident. Note with tubes as you take off or slow down coming off the plane, the rear drops and has a tendency to apply a downward pull and can submerge the front of the tube if your not careful - while adult riders might enjoy getting washed off the tube if it porpoises, little kids won't. The porpoising effect was most prominent with the large flat - pancake style tubes.

      As for the wake for slalom skiing, it's okay for recreational skiing with a slightly shorter rope (15' off) but if your a hardcore skier you regret buying a 210.
