1996 Super (AIR) Sport Winter Upgrades - Wetsounds, Perfect Pass, LEDs, Decals Etc..

Hey guys. It has been a long winter up in Ontario, Canada. I Have been pretty busy this winter working on my boat. I chipped away at them all winter not buying or doing everything at once. Since my last ride in the fall (November 22) I have done the following upgrades.

-2006 Air Nautique Decals to the sides for a more updated look
-Larger NAUTIQUES decals for the transom
-Re-finished Teak platform (added approx 15 coats of teak oil over the course of a month)
-Participated in the planetnautique PTM Mirror group buy and bought one of those
-Faria Depth Finder w/ air & water temp readings
-Participated in the planetnautique perfect pass group buy and bought Stargazer Wakeboard pro with the Nautiques logo in the gauge
-Replaced the faded blue rubrail insert with a new black one from nautiqueparts
-pulled the shelves out from under the combing pads, removed carpet, added 3 cupholders to each side and re-carpeted
-Added REV 10 Tower speakers with LED inserts running off a second SYN4 amp
-Installed Lumitec Seablaze 3 underwater LEDs
-Seadeck gunnel steps

engine oil (Valvoline VR-1 40wt)
transmission oil (Valvoline Dexron)
V-drive Oil (Valvoline SAE 30 Wt)
Raw H20 Impeller

Can not wait to get out on the water!

I put some new rims, tires, levelled my truck with bilsteins & got a performance/tow tuner for my truck over the winter as well so I am stoked to get to the launch with the whole rig!

How are you making due with a 3 blade prop? Get a 4 blade acme on there!

ericchile: The boat never had a trailer or ever a cover up until 2010. It was always at dry storage or a boat house. The trailer was added by the second owner. It is a 2010 Boatmate trailer.

5bison: The Bimini top was built by New Dimension Towers. It is an over the top bimini and the front and back bimini zipper together and then snap to the tower and then you extend the legs out to make it nice and snug. It works and looks awesome.

xlair: I have about 2000lbs in ballast right now. It suprisingly gets on plane real easy. I do plan to get a new prop, an Acme 4 blase #1578, former 1464 I believe. I think I have blown my budget for this year, next year will be a prop an upgrade my bags to just shy of 3000lbs

amazing that boat is 17yrs old. very very low hours if that is the original guage and accurate. This thread could serve as a sales add for Nautique.

ACME has a new 4 blade prop out for right hand boats designated 1846 (14" x 14.25 .150CUP) that may fit on your boat if that current prop is 14" diameter. I am thinking about trying it on our boat which can handle a 14" dia prop.

They have also added a 14" x 13.75p .105CUP (1616) that might be interesting to use if you were going to max out ballast.

That is the original hour gauge. It had 231 hours when I bought it in the fall of 2011.

I'll have to look into those props when I buy one. I think the size I was looking at was 13.5" but that would be cool if we could fit 14" props

I would love to see some pics of your thransom lights once you get it in the water. How hard was that install?
